I Re-Watched the BC-Duquesne Game So You Don't Have to: Defense

Defense

Front Seven

The defensive line was dominant against Duquesne, holding them to just 2.4 yards per carry. The line was also able to generate pressure on the quarterback, sacking him four times and hurrying him six times.

The linebackers were also solid, making several tackles for loss and breaking up a few passes.

Secondary

The secondary had a few hiccups, but overall they played well. They gave up a few big plays, but they also came up with some big plays of their own, including an interception by Josh DeBerry.

Special Teams

The special teams were a mixed bag. The punting game was solid, with Mike Knoll averaging 42.3 yards per punt. The kickoff coverage was also good, as Duquesne was only able to return one kickoff for more than 20 yards.

The only real issue with the special teams was the field goal kicking. Connor Lytton missed two field goals, including one from 42 yards out.
